Delete account

You can always delete your Leeny account yourself, right in the app.

How to do it

Open Leeny and tap your profile picture (top right).
Go to Account and choose Delete account.
Confirm. If you signed in with Apple, the app asks you to confirm once more with your Apple Account.

Tip: want a copy of your data first? Then choose Privacy and data → Download my data beforehand.

Gone: your profile, your items and photos, your favourites, your sizes, your blocks and your sign-in account.
Groups: you leave all your groups. A group you own goes to an admin or to the member who has been in it the longest. If you’re the only member, the group disappears.
Open requests: are closed.
Stays for the other person: conversations and completed loans stay visible to the other person, with you shown as “Deleted user”. That way nobody loses the arrangements you made together.
Reports made about you or by you are kept for up to one year after they’ve been dealt with, so we can tackle misuse.
Crash reports contain no details about who you are and are deleted automatically after 90 days.

Deleting can’t be undone.

You’re borrowing or lending something: finish that loan first, by bringing it back or cancelling, and then try again.
No access to the app any more: email privacy@leeny.app from your account’s email address. We’ll then delete your account within a month and let you know.
