Community guidelines
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Leeny works because you borrow from people you trust. These guidelines help keep it that way. They apply to everything you post and to how you treat others.
Be a good borrower
- Make clear arrangements about picking up, bringing back and washing.
- Bring things back on time, in the same condition you got them.
- Has something been damaged or lost? Be honest about it and find a solution together.
- Can’t make the agreed day? Let the other person know in the chat in good time.
Be a good lender
- Post real photos of your own clothes.
- Describe the size and condition honestly, including any small stain or wear.
- Reply to requests in time. A request expires after three days without a reply.
What’s never allowed
This is where we’re strict. We remove content that goes against these rules, and anyone who does this can be removed from Leeny.
- Harassment, bullying, threats or discrimination.
- Hateful, violent or sexual content, or nude images.
- Spam, scams or fake accounts.
- Selling or renting out clothes or other things for money; Leeny is for borrowing.
- Counterfeits or anything illegal.
- Sharing other people’s data or photos without their permission.
Reporting and blocking
See something that’s not right? Let us know.
- Report a conversation or person: open the conversation, tap the other person’s profile picture at the top right and choose Report.
- Report an item: open the item, tap More (the three dots) and choose Report item.
- Block someone: open the conversation, tap the other person’s profile picture at the top right and choose Block. You then no longer see each other’s items and messages.
We review every report within 24 hours. The person you report doesn’t see that it was you.
What happens when someone breaks the rules
Depending on what happened, we remove content, give a warning, or block an account temporarily or permanently. In the case of criminal offences, we may involve the police.
